Hello loves!
It’s been a while. A while indeed and I have missed writing to you!
Once fallen off the horse, it becomes more and more challenging to get back on but here we are, back on it. I’ve caught myself in a very Libric nature, in-between decisions. Decisions on whether I should continue writing on here or whether I should move it completely onto REIA KĀMA for simplicity’s sake. In astrology, it is said that all signs have a duality, a positive and a negative side to them and we can always choose which one we embody. I believe the negative sides are here to teach us and help us evolve as beings. A big challenge and my greatest teacher has always been decision-making. Oh, how I have learnt my lessons and keep on learning them. I've learnt that little happens in the in-between as no momentum can be found there. The stillness can be comforting but without intention, it becomes stagnant.
So, a note to self and to all who need it:
— Take a breath and then a step, the stars will guide you. Dance with the wind and learn to sail the oceans because you are the ocean. —
The seas we are sailing
Importantly, how are you? I’ve missed connecting with you — send me a message or comment below, I love to know where you’re at, and what seas you are sailing.
It’s been a rough time for the world to say the least that has left our souls and earth wounded. Alas, it continues down the spiral. I’ve been reflecting on how much I care about my homeland, my darling island and the soul—level connection I have with it. I’ve imagined the pain I’d feel if its ground and hearts were hurt by violent actions so largely scaled as a war. The pain would be unbearable. It’s a big concept to grasp for our human minds that we are all part of one universal soul, and that when some of us are hurting we all hurt. It’s a twisted thought to think when we are just becoming aware of co-dependency and working on letting go of our empathic nature, but it’s true and we can replace those two with compassion. Compassion is like a space of love we create in our hearts, it stems from strength and reflects our own. Because of our oneness, when the world dwells in peace we dwell in peace. So, for our well-being, it´s vital to show up for peace in the ways we can. May it be as quiet as a prayer, as loud as a protest or as power-filled as art. I believe in your powers.
Letting go to make space for the new
As the year comes to an end, intentional reflections are our golden tool. Putting pen to paper, actually sitting down in meditation or going on that walk by yourself in nature to reflect can be very valuable right now.
Before we embark on new paths, we need to clear space.
What are you letting go of?
I highly recommend writing it down. You might be surprised by what comes up when you do, I was! Writing from the soul is such a powerful thing, words we don’t know lived inside of us often appear in front of us. So go for it.
I’m letting go of the absolute last bits of a relationship that was present in my life for a generous amount of years. I let go of this relationship and the strings that came with it a long time ago but the dust from the fire hasn’t been swept away. I thought I had but I’ve noticed that memories, beautiful and less so keep on coming up bringing me towards comparison and naturally so but in the ashes live a few limiting beliefs and fears that I am super ready to let go of.
I’m also letting go of a side of me that kept me afloat for a long and introducing a very real way of looking at life. It feels a bit like getting new sails for my sailboat that make it stronger and sturdier for the oceans I will sail but for them, I have to trade the tender silk ones that made the waters glimmer.
Now you.
Committing to a word for the year
If you've been around for the majority of this year, you’ve likely read my letters about this concept where I told you about my word and perhaps you’ve shared yours with me (I loved that part). Now is the time to reflect on how it went. Give yourself praise for your actions towards your commitment and forgiveness for where you left it. Those two are equally as important.
A year of fearlessness, completely devoted to stepping through fears and doing everything I’m afraid of. It’s truly been a ride and a ride I am so grateful for. I’m bringing the wisdom with me and taking this word on as my nature.
I have learned that unrealistic expectations wrapped up as New Year resolutions, often driven by self—dissatisfaction only keep us small. Committing to a word opens up a path of practising deep self-love through action, intention and discipline.
— Find your word for the year —
No1 Let your word come to you and trust in it
No2 Devote [as much or little of] yourself to it
No3 Share it with someone (this magnifies the powers of your commitment)
No4 Allow it to unfold with each passing day of the year
Let me know if you need any assistance. I will talk about this on Instagram and invite you to share yours with me! Looking forward to it.
To all my sea captains
I was driven to write this letter specifically to say THANK YOU.
Thank you for being a part of Fused Havens. Thank you for reading the letters, for writing back & sending feedback, for creating this community with me and most importantly for being your beautiful YOU.
May the year ahead bear with it immense healing powers to heal the wounds of our earth and all hurting hearts. May it bring you infinite blessings <3
Infinite love,
A
